Why is Bootcamp important?
First, having a strong, effective and personal essay is very important because it is the only part of the application where an admissions committee learns about you and your motivation in your pursuit of a career in your field.
Everything else in the application is just facts. The essay is where you can be more descriptive to define your goals, intentions, and reasons why you are specifically drawn to this field. You want the committee to see that connection. You want them to say, “I can totally see why they want to be in this profession” and "I think we need them in this profession based on their strengths and characteristics."
Second, it is also very important to make sure that your essay is error free and answers the question. If you submit an essay that doesn't really answer the question or has some punctuation, grammar, spelling mistakes in it, many times the admissions committee will think that you're just being lazy, that you aren't taking this process seriously, so why should they take you seriously?
You have worked too hard to not be taken seriously. That's why we created the Essay Development Bootcamp.
